GUNDOG PUPPY TRAINING COURSES
Suitable for puppies under 20 weeks old at the start of the course & have had their first vaccination.
The Puppy course is 8-weeks, with each session lasting one hour and are held in small groups in an outdoor training field all year round.
This course includes Life Skills exercises that have been carefully designed by the Life Skills team at Lincoln University giving you and your puppy a good foundation for life, paired with age appropriate gundog skills & games to harness their breed specific instinctive traits from the get go helping to avoid bad habits pet gundog breeds traditionally fall into.
LEARNING FOR LIFE; OBEDIENCE & MANNERS TRAINING COURSES
Suitable for puppies between 6-24 months old at the start of the course
This is 6-weeks, with each session lasting one hour and are held in small groups in an outdoor training field all year round.
The course aims to help you achieve a dog that will walk and behave in a good manner on and off lead and under control.
PET GUNDOG FOUNDATION COURSES
Suitable for dogs over 5 months old who have completed a Puppy Training course either with us or somewhere else.
The Foundation course is 8-weeks, with each session lasting one hour and are held in small groups in an outdoor training field all year round.
This course is for dogs just starting out on their Gundog Training journey with no experience of Gundog work. They have been carefully designed to provide you with the foundation skills that you can do on a walk to help harness and engage your family gundog. If you wish, you can then progress onto and successfully achieve the Gundog Club Grades.
GUNDOG CLUB GRADED COURSES
The Gundog Club Grades are suitable for dogs who have some experience of Gundog work having completed a foundation gundog course. They are aimed at family or working gundogs and provide a structured level of obedience and skillset.
The Gundog Trust was launched in January 2006 to help people train their Gundogs through participation in a non-competitive Graded Training Scheme. Progress through this national Graded Training Scheme is achieved through preparing for and passing a series of graded Field Tests.
HEELWORK & RECALL COURSES
The Loose Lead, heelwork & recall course is a ad-hoc course that happens every now and then throughout the year & not all year round like our other courses.
This course is 7 weeks, with each lesson lasting around an hour and are held in small groups on an enclosed, outdoor training field. The exercises during the course incorporates many fun activities taking you from the start of your training and builds on the foundations of your Heel work and Recall skills and works through the stages one step at a time.
They also include some focus and engagement exercises to help build reliability in the behaviours and also strengthens the bond and relationship between you and your dog.
