Our Pet Gundog courses serve as the gateway to the world of Gundog training, designed for those who have completed a Puppy Course. They not only train dogs but also coach and educate owners, making them perfect for newcomers to Gundog training or those looking to jumpstart their journey.

These enjoyable courses cater not only to individuals interested in shooting or competing with their dogs but primarily to owners of family Gundogs. Our focus lies in helping you understand your dog's natural abilities, fostering a deeper connection between you and your pet, and exploring the skills inherent to their breed while having fun.

We introduce a range of foundational exercises over several weeks, laying the groundwork for a well-behaved and trained pet Gundog. Whether your goal is obedience, competition, or fieldwork, our courses provide the tools for progression.

Many new pet Gundog owners struggle with managing their dog's high energy, hunting instincts, prey drive, and tendency towards high arousal. My training method aims to harness these instincts positively, optimising both you and your dog's potential.

Classes not only enhance your dog's communication skills but also sharpen your observation and timing abilities, strengthening the bond between you and your dog.

If there is no focus, no control or connection with your dog, then a lot of their natural instincts will be your downfall.

Included in the course:

Week 1 of your course is at Home Pre-course Material; Theory Information Guides, together with over 10 practicals for you to complete at home prior to starting the in person sessions via the App and pre-recorded videos.
Week 2-8 is In-Person Sessions

You'll receive a welcome email with the access link to Week 1 content - 1 week prior to your in-person start date for you to work on before your first practical session. This will be via the Paws & Play Gundogs App.

Please Note:

Please note that refunds will not be given if you are no longer able to attend your booking, your female dogs come into season or they are ill during the course and you're no longer able to continue.
Places are not confirmed until payment has been received. If you reserve a place choosing to book via BACs but someone pays before you - unfortunately they'll get the place.

A session may be covered over a live Zoom session if the weather is too cold/severe in the Winter months, or too hot in the Summer months, this is for the welfare of your dogs.
